Installation

We will download a single file. That's it. No complex installers.

Step 1: Download

Go to the PicoClaw GitHub Releases Page and find the latest version.

Which file do I choose?

For Mac (Apple Silicon / M1 / M2 / M3): Download picoclaw-darwin-arm64
For Mac (Intel): Download picoclaw-darwin-amd64
For Windows: Download picoclaw-windows-amd64.exe
For Raspberry Pi: Download picoclaw-linux-arm64

TIP

If you are unsure, try the one that ends in arm64 if you have a new computer, or amd64 if you have an older Intel one.

Step 2: Prepare the file

On macOS / Linux

Open your Terminal app. (Press Cmd+Space and type "Terminal").
Type cd Downloads and press Enter.
We need to make the file "executable". Type this command:

bash

chmod +x picoclaw-darwin-arm64

(Replace the filename with the one you actually downloaded)

On Windows

Create a folder C:\picoclaw.
Move the downloaded .exe file into that folder.
Rename it to just picoclaw.exe to make it easier to type.

Step 3: Run it!

Now you are ready to start it for the first time.
